DFDS members accept pay offer of 3%

Nautilus Members employed by DFDS have accepted a pay offer of 3% following a recent consultation exercise on their 2019 pay and conditions review.

The increase takes effect from 1 January 2019.

Nautilus International national ferry organiser Micky Smyth said the company also gave a commitment to engage positively and explore avenues to join the Ensign pension scheme.

An advisor from Ensign has been engaged to take talks forward with DFDS pension advisors.

'This is a positive step forward and we will endeavour to do everything possible to reach an agreement with the employer to enable our maritime professionals at sea and ashore to join this industry-wide Pension Quality Mark scheme', said Mr Smyth.
